audience research

 For my audience research I used google forms to see my audiences opinions on certain things involving canon such as price and other things






The first thing I asked was what their interpretation of the word journey was, I asked this because the theme of the campaign is supposed to be "journeys" so its a good idea to get my audiences interpretation of the word. The majority interpretation of the word is distance travelled which means I can use landmarks or well-known places you can travel to for my advert as it would fit the "journeys" criteria 




The second question I asked was "what do you look for in a camera advert?". I asked this question so I knew what my audience was looking for in an advert and what would catch their eye and persuade them to buy a camera 

The third question I asked was if they knew what canon was, and everyone answered yes. This meant i didn't have to make something that explained what their company did and how they operate as everyone who did this survey said that they have an understanding of what canon is. Furthermore, this means I do not have to make an advertorial filled with information and I can just make something that helps get consumers actually thinking about canon

The fourth question I asked was if they could actually afford a canon camera, I asked this question to see if I should promote canon as something affordable for people with lower amounts of money or I should just focus on canon's quality and appeal. 80 percent of people answered that they could afford a canon camera showing me that price is not an issue for this age group and I can focus the advert in other areas.
